Propose A Project

ArmeniaProject is a non-profit group that was set up with the goal of providing assistance to organizations, schools and individuals in Armenia in implementing various social, educational, scientific and business projects. ArmeniaProject does not have formal non-profit status, but all the contributions in their entirety are transferred to Armenia. None of the contribution funds will be used for any other purpose including support and maintenance of this web site and expenses incurred during fund transfer to Armenia.
Projects can be proposed by organizations and individuals based in Armenia or abroad. Proposals must include the title of the project, start date, end date, project description and required funding. Project description also includes number of participants and expected results. All kind of proposals will be considered. Typical examples are educational projects in schools, universities, various contests, small business proposals, exchange program proposals, etc.
If you are submitting a proposal please follow the Propose A Project link and fill out the proposal form. Please try to be very specific, include a detailed description of the project (but no more than 2000 words), possibly outlining project phases and describing what will be achieved during each phase. Include a valid email address so we can contact you when the funding is available.
When submitting project proposals, please remember that funding is limited and the project selection process is very competitive. Preference will be given to project proposals that use funds effectively and have potential of affecting many lives.
If you would like to fund a project please browse all non-funded or underfunded projects (cost of the project is greater than pledged funds) and pick one that you like. Then submit your email address and the amount you would like to pledge for the project. You can pledge as little as $10 or as much as the entire amount requested for the project. Once a project gets full funding, the funds will be collected and transferred to Armenia to the principal of the project.
Project execution will be monitored to the possible extent. Materials, results, art artifacts etc. produced during the project will be posted on the web site. To avoid fraud and waste of funds, the funding for a phase of a project will be released only after the execution of the previous phase is confirmed. We are also planning to have trusted representatives in Armenia that will monitor project execution for proper fund use.
No private information will be collected during Propose A Project or Fund A Project process except valid email addresses that will be used to notify that the project is accepted for funding and full funding is available. Once full funding is available we will contact you by email and arrange fund collection and transfer to Armenia.
